What is BuildReview?

BuildReview is an independent Australian directory of residential, commercial and industrial builders, with reviews written by the homeowners who hired them.

Every builder has a profile with their location, the type of work they take on, typical project size and their overall rating.

You can browse by state or search by builder name or suburb, then shortlist a few and read what previous clients said.

We're not a lead-generation service. Nobody pays us to appear higher in the directory.

How do I find reviews for a specific builder?

Search the builder's name in the box above, or browse the full builder directory and filter by state. If they're listed, their reviews sit on their profile page.

Ratings are an average of every published review on that builder's profile, so a single review carries a lot of weight on a newer listing. Read the words, not just the stars.

If a builder you've worked with isn't listed yet, tell us who to add and we'll take a look.

How do reviews work?

Reviews come from registered members. You need an account to leave one, you can only review a given builder once, and a star rating on its own isn't enough — you have to write something.

Reviews go live when they're submitted and are moderated after the fact. Anything that looks fake or abusive gets pulled.

We don't accept payment to change a rating, and builders can't have honest feedback removed.

Does it cost anything to use?

No. Browsing builders and reading reviews is free, and it stays free. An account is only needed to write a review of your own.
